This exhibition explores the history and common experiences shared by the Black and Jewish communities and features the artwork of a select group of Black and Jewish artists from around the country. Works shown will reflect upon Slavery and the Holocaust, and both the positive and negative effects that these horrific episodes have had on the collective psyches of the two communities.
Transcending History: Moving Beyond the Legacy of Slavery and the Holocaust was organized by the Idea Coalition and Vivant Art Collection.

Join us on Thursday, February 4, for the Opening Night of Transcending History: Moving Beyond the Legacy of Slavery and the Holocaust. Transcending History is a month long art exhibit that is organized by the Idea Coalition, which will feature the works of over 30 Black and Jewish artists from around the country. Works shown will reflect upon Slavery and the Holocaust, and the effects that these events have had on the two communities. RSVP is REQUIRED, and you may do so at:
50% of all profits from this event and the month-long exhibit will go to Haiti relief efforts.
